Mom, It's 5 months today that you went to be home with the Lord. It just is not the same without you---I miss you so very much, there is a hole in all our hearts that cannot be filled until we are all together again. You are in our daily thoughts and conversations. Romeo (Bruno) wonders where you went and still lays in your room waiting....love you so much!!!

To The Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I understand how difficult it is when a loved one passes away. I find Acts 24:15 to be comforting because it promises a hope for the future. Please accept my sincere condolences. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

They say a true measure of a person's life is reflected the lives of their children and those who loved her. Based on that criterion, Emma, you were an extraordinary person. You are loved by many and remembered by all.
As a small child I remember visits to see my Uncle Jack and Aunt Fenna and the “girls.” It was always my favorite place to visit because it was always active, warm and friendly. Their house always felt to me, the way I imagined a “home” should feel. Emma was always afoot somewhere during these visits. Even as a small child I realized Emma had somehow contributed to the comfort I always felt.
It has been many years since I have seen Emma, but I still remember her smile, and the way she always made me feel like I was a good person. What a gift to have! What a mark to leave on people; that a smile and a kind word are what comes to mind with a particular person. We should all be as lucky to be remembered in that way!
My heart felt condolences to all the Breslin Clan. Perhaps Clan is not a Politically Correct term anymore, but for me it is a term of endearment, a close loving family group and that is what I will always remember. So thank you Emma for nurturing that family unit and everyone you met actually. Thank you for showing me as a little boy, right up to a young man, that love, and family, and God are all interwoven by the life we live, into a fabric that supports and comforts all like a warm quilt on a frosty night. Though you may be gone, the quilt of love that you helped create, will keep us all warm until we arrive to be with you again. It will bring a smile to our faces as we remember you, and teach us how to help warm the next generation with the pieces we add from our families, to the quilt you began.

Dear Fenna, Barbara, and Family:
My deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. She leaves behind a legacy of love for all of us blessed to have known her. I will always remember her smile, laughter, and her strong slaps on your back or leg whenever she had something happy to share and just wanted to say she loved you. The years on Front Street and all the backyard parties, the Christmas holidays in Wayne and all of our pasta nights, and our time in Manahawkin this past December..all special memories of a special lady. She truly cared for everyone in her life. Thanks for all the memories, Auntie Em's. Now you're with so many of our beloved family in heaven and I know you will be a busy lady up there too. I will miss you deeply but hold you in my heart forever. Give my mom, dad, Peggy and Nonnie one of your loving slaps for me. Until our eyes meet again, God bless you in your new life.
With much love,
Jo-Ann (Tucson, AZ)

Although our times together were short, they will be cherished. I take with me the memories of our talks and enjoyment of listening to your stories. I will think of you each time I wrap the beautiful afghan around me that you gave me so lovingly. You were surrounded by such a warm and loving family. You were truly blessed as you blessed each of their lives.

I always considered Emma as a grandmother to me. I have known her since I was 9yrs old through the Minetti family. Of all the people I have met Gram was one of the warmest and kindhearted. She always made me feel like part of the family. In every memory that I have of Gram, she was always smiling and always cheerful. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
Love Rick and Eva

In the short time that I knew Grams, I realized how great she was. She was truly a very loving person that wasn't afraid to let you know. Her kind selfless heart was always shown. She always knew what to say to put a smile on your face. She deserves her place in Heaven looking down on us! Now she has the same happiness she brought to everyone that knew her.

Emma, I feel so blessed to have known you, although it was only for a few years. Your love for your family was so radiant...you remind me so much of my own Grandma. I'm glad that I got to spend some time with you last summer at Michael & Barbara's and I still remember how to crochet the grannie square that you taught me. You will be greatly missed and I will always remember you. Give Zeke a hug for me!

Gram,
You mean the world to me. Whenever I was with you it was always a good time. Saturday night sleepovers, playing 500 rummy, and yes even watching Lawrence Welk. You lived your life selflessly which showed in everything you did. Almost everyone that met you had their very own afghan crocheted with love. I am so glad that you are no longer suffering and that you are dancing in heaven. Until we meet again, you will be in my thoughts always.

Gram.
THANK YOU. I'm speaking not only for my self but for JACK. You were always there for us. Life's many trials of ups and downs all we had to do was look at you to see how it's done. LOVE you never said it you didn't have to you lived it. Jack and I were able to show our love for our children just by following your example. You were selfless, someday I hope to be half as good as you at truely loving people. Yes, it's tough at the end seeing you in decline, seeing the pain in your eyes as you walked but your love of Life and Family kept you here. You will be truly MISSED. See you in heaven...and Gram don't stop praying for us we need it . Michael

Gram... you will be missed. I will remember being at Fenna's or Jim and Dawn's and sitting talking with you getting your words of wisdom to get through yet another difficult time. I will also remember your encouragement when I was trying so hard to have a family of my own and the love you had for my boys when they came. You have touched so many people in so many ways I'm not even sure if you are aware of how grateful so many people are due to your kindness and love. You will be missed.

Grandma Emma,
You are the only one, the American Grandma for us. You are the first person that we met, when we came here. You said "Come by our house for the Christmas party!!!" You gave us many things; the custom of USA, how to cook the pea soup, kindness, warmhearted, hospitality, thoughtfulness and etc.... You are very sweet. Thank you very much. We love you so much. We will keep in our mind your smiling face forever.

I was talking to someone about you the other day gram and she said.. "Emma is everyone's Gram" and it is so true. No matter who came into our your life-family, friends, distant relatives, strangers from far lands who became part of the family- you became GRAM!! And it's a name with so much caring and unconditional love that even when you say the name it warms you up inside. When you yelled at all of us kids and went thru the entire list of kids to find the right name to yell at... to rocking every baby that came thru this family with your forever resonating lullaby we all know so well...to slapping the men in the family when they got out of line.. your memories are endless and happy!! And I love you and will miss you everyday!

Mom,
There are no words to express the ache that is left in my heart. We knew this day would come but we still were unprepared. You have given so much of yourself to each one of us. The life lessons you have taught and prepared us for are instilled in each one of us. We have a love for Jesus and each other because of your example and prayers that you have prayed. We know where you are and we know we will see you again. Your life was not easy and you struggled up to the end. But now you have a new beginning with jewels in your crown. We will never have a day without thoughts of you. LOVE YOU MUCH.......Until

"Moms" hold a very special place in thier childrens' hearts.
It was a pleasure knowing your Mom. She always had a friendly hello and wave to family friends as she sat outside ejoying the summer months in Barb & Mike's backyard. I will remember talking with Barb about Mom's enjoyment of her "favorite" daytime TV programs ---a mirror image of my own Mom. A very lovely woman, kind and gentle with a great love of her family. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Gram,
I love you soooo much. You have touched so many lives and have been such a great example for so many people. You will live on through all of us. For the first time in my life, I am actually jealous of God. He gets to be with you and we have to wait until we can see you again. Thank you for being the kindest, most loving, selfless, energetic, and hard spanking grandmother that your favorite (only) grandson could ever ask for. I love you more than I could ever write. Until I see you again!!!

Chris
