I have many fond memories of Agatha, who seems to have touched the lives of many people. My condolences to the family;I know she will be sorely missed. She contacted me nine years ago and said she felt like a kid, so I always hoped to see her again. It is ironic that she and my mother died in the same year. I will never forget her.

Piling a bunch of kids into her car and taking us horseback riding
Looking at my first pair of glasses and asking how I could possibly see out of them because they were so dirty (same as her son John's)and showing me how to clean them
Being unbelievably kind and sweet to an awkward young girl

Aunt Aggie was a warm, loving person. I especially enjoyed our visits in Naperville. She had a way of making everyone in my family feel special. Her gift with children was evident as she quickly embraced my children. She also shared some of her parenting wisdom which I have remembered throughout the years. She had a welcoming, loving heart. Her home was always open. My thoughts and prayers our with Uncle Mike and her family.
Love,
Elaine

I met Mrs. Demeyer through Roe since I was a friend and roommate of Roe. She was always such a friendly and warm lady. Always willing to have a place for me to stay in Paterson. I did go and stay once and both Mike and Agatha were kind enough to take me into NY City, My only visit to both Patterson and the big Apple.
I always liked to type a few
words to the Demeyers when Roe was writing home. I think her mom got a kick out of that.
With love and sympathy to all on the loss of your mother, wife and good friend. May God Bless her and all the family.
With deepest sympathy,
Mary Michalak

I will always remember Aunt Aggie as being such a sweet lady. I have always heard such wonderful stories from my mother, uncle, and grandfather over the years too. I admire for her many years of influential teaching. I feel honored and truly touched that she passed on a teacher's prayer to me that she had kept with her for many years. I enjoyed having a few phone conversations with her over the last few months. Even the positive energy she gives off on the phone was just incredible. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My Aunt Aggie - My Cherished Godmother,
My Godmother, Aunt Aggie, was so constant in her role as my Godmother that I can't imagine her not being there. While she always gave the impression that she was the one who felt blessed and honored to be my Godmother, in truth, it was me who was the blessed and honored one to have her as my Godmother - truly the best Godmother that ever existed. She was always there with a smile and her enthusasim for life and her love of everyone around her that was not only catching, but endearing to us all. From my baptism to all my graduations and every special event in my 55 years (communion, confirmation...),childrens births, my parents passings, my son's wedding, grandchildrens' births, and every Christmas and every Birthday without fail these past 55 years, my Aunt Aggie was always there with her zest, happiness, intelligence, love, and enjoyment in just being part of our lives. Her love was always there and the one person who always seemed to love me, her Goddaughter, so unconditionally that I truly cannot imagine life without her constant presence - I can only imagine the loss that Uncle Mike and her children feel. My comfort is in knowing how many people in Heaven are now happy to have her with them and that she will always be an Angel (and my Godmother) for the rest of us for the remainder of our lives. She truly was one of those very, very rare and remarkable individuals who will leave a lasting impression and lasting love in so many lives.
Rest in peace Aunt Aggie - You will be greatly missed - Your loving Goddaughter for always, Theresa

Agatha touched my life as well as my oldest daughter's with her strong spirit...smile...words of wisdom...joyous attitude...and wonderful memorable conversations. She also did a fantastic job as a Mother & Grandmother, therefor leaving behind some fantastic people whom she had a large part in "shaping"...along with the long loving marriage to Mike. May she now enjoy the well deserved Graces of Heaven. Thank you Agatha for ALL that you have given to so many people.

We will be forever grateful to have known such a witty, caring, smart, giving, and wonderful friend. Aggie was an inspiration and a wonderful surrogate "mom" to us and surrogate "grandma" to our kids. Every time Shaelyn reads a book we will always think of Aggie and the encouragement and tremendous love of reading she shared with her. Shaelyn will carry that throughout her life. Aggie touched our lives in so many ways. She will truly be missed.

I've known the Demeyers for over 40 years and have many fond memories of Mrs. D.(as I lovingly called her)! When I was 18 years old (I'm now 55) I spent 10 days in Vineland, NJ visiting my aunt and uncle. While visiting, my aunt and I went to a flea market and guess what I found--you got it--an antique tea pot. I bought it, wrapped it up, and brought it home to Mrs. D. The smile on her face was priceless!! She just couldn't thank me enough!! This memory will definitely remain strong in my heart and in my mind!! God bless you, Mrs. D.
Love,
Your 4th daughter,
Vinnie

Aggie has a special place in my heart. She had a wonderful disposition and was a good friend/relative in hard times. When my dad died she stayed with my mom after the funeral for a few days. She and Mike came for my birthday in the difficult first days after my husband died. A phone call to her always cheered you up with news of her family and what was going on. God bless and keep you, Aggie.
