Obituary of John Steven Bradley
John Steven Bradley, 71, of Totowa, formerly of Pompton Lakes, died Monday, 7/8/2013.
He was born to the late Robert and the late Vera Bradley, March 30, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ. John graduated from Dickinson High School in 1960 and received a BA in Education from Jersey City University in 1964. John went on to get his Master's Degree from Montclair University. He married Judith Richmond Bradley in 1966, and they lived together in Pompton Lakes, NJ before relocating to Totowa in 2009.
John, "The Man, The Myth, The Legend," was a high school geography teacher at Wayne Hills for four decades until he retired in 2000. He was a wonderful teacher who was passionate about making a difference in the lives of his students. Not only was John the "voice of the Patriots" for many years, he was an iconic track official, he also coached cross country for 20 years and girls basketball for 30 years. His combined successes in these two sports made him the winningest coach in Wayne Hills' history.
John was an active member of the adult cooking scene, teaching multiple cooking classes for over thirty years. He also loved to travel, and sponsored many school-based trips to Europe.
John is survived by his wife Judy of 47 years; children: Sean Bradley and wife Donna of Totowa, NJ and Ryan Bradley and wife Tabitha of Keyport, NJ; brother Gerard and wife Susan of Supply, NC; and four grandchildren: Shane, Robert, Shannon and Kiera.

A viewing will be held at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne, NJ on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and a Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.
