Obituary of James Philip Maneri

James Philip Maneri, age 85, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at home in Wayne. Mr. Maneri was born June 27, 1923 in Garfield, NJ the son of the late Frank and the late Frances (Alfonso) Maneri. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW in Garfield. He was employed by US Post Office Garfield for over 25 years before retiring. Mr. Maneri was a member of Our Lady Of The Valley RC Church, Wayne, the Golden Age Club, and Our Lady Of Victories RC Church St Judes Prayer Group. He is survived by his daughters Karen and her husband Jim Marshall, Nancy and her husband Eugene Pierinelli; his son Frank and his partner Alberto Cruz; and his grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, James, Christopher and Johnny. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Zoll). Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne and at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
