Obituary of James Robert Bernice

James Robert Bernice, age 61, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, NY. Mr. Bernice was born October 9, 1946 in Passaic, NJ, the son of the late Anthony and the late Maria (Bonfonti) Bernice. He lived in Wayne since 1994 and was formerly of Lodi. He was retired from Abraham and Strauss, Secaucus in 2001 where he was a Systems Analyst. He is survived by his wife: Robin (nee Smith), his daughters: Jaime Bernice of Wayne, Allyson Bernice of Hawthorne, his son: Mark Bernice of Hamburg, NJ; a sister: Diana Pollara of Wayne, his brothers: Salvatore of Garfield, Gary of Sharon, MA, Anthony of Waldwick; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richie Bernice. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart Of Mary R.C. Church, 580 Ratzer Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Fr. Daniel A. Kelly. Cremation will be in Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa.
