Dear Jim - Our neighborhood will never be the same. We have lost a wonderful man. Although it has only been 4 1/2 years that we lived here, it seems like we knew you for a lifetime. It's already very difficult to look across the street and not see you on the steps ready for a visit. I'm really going to miss our chats. We are going to miss so much more than I can even imagine. Rest in peace Jim and know that we will be there for Robin and Jaime. Thanks for all that you did for us.

Our feelings for you are very strong, even though we haven't known you too long. You were there to meet us when we were born, and now your absence has left us torn. You were funny and kind, caring, and sweet; as a great uncle- you couldn't be beat. In our hearts and our minds, you will always stay...we love you and we'll miss you more each day.
Love,
Carter, Max, and Jack

As the Apostle Paul said: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Uncle Jim, I will miss your gentle and loving spirit. There are few people as genuine as you.
Aunt Robin, Jaime, Allyson, Mark—I pray that you will find comfort in the hope that Uncle Jim is home, in the loving hands of his Heavenly Father. Love, your nephew Gary.

Jim
We met in Vegas in 2006, and whilst you may meet many a person on vacation throughout your life it is something to treasure when that person becomes a true friend as was the case with you.I cannot believe I am writing this,we should be swapping thoughts on the horses or your recent bets on the baseball. The memories of happy days around the pool at The Mirage with yourself, Mark, and Allyson will stay with us forever.I know how much your family loved you and it was easy to see why. You will be in our prayers tonight and always Jim. Good night and God bless to Jim Bernice a true gentleman.

Dear Robin, Jaime, Mark &
Allyson
We know you already know this but we must say it anyway; Jim was the BEST... husband father, brother, uncle, neighbor and FRIEND. We were so blessed to have him in our lives for the last 12 years.
We have be so touched by his friendship, loyalty, love generosity, and true concern for all. We cannot imagine a day without seeing him or hearing from him.
Our Lexi was his biggest fan and his love for her will never be forgotten. Jim and Snow were the light of her doggie life and she already misses her best friend who was always there with his bag of treats.
Please know that Jim was so dear to us. Dennis and I are truly broken hearted.
With Love,
Dennis, Linda and Lexi

Mr. Bernice.. When I was growing up with Jaime, you were in so many of my unforgettable childhood memories. When I went on to college, you never failed to ask me about classes and jobs, encouraging me all the way. When we moved last summer, it was obvious that you were more than just a neighbor, but a best friend to my family. Know that I will always, for the rest of my life, look after and be there for your Jaime. With love and respect, Jeanette
