Uncle Chuck was such a big part of my childhood. He was like a father to me, always giving good advice. I have fond memories of Christmas visits every year and how proud he was proud of his german heritage. I also have great memories of his mom, Aunt Ruthie, being a big part of my life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he really cared for others. He certainly loved his family very much.

From the drives in the famous VW Bug...From the stories about everything imaginable, From the laugh and smile that followed you everywhere. I will always keep you dear to my heart. Your entire family has touched my entire family in so many ways, I no longer look at it as two separate families. You are all my family. We Love you All.

My Dear Mr. Braunlin, You always had time for JUST ME whenever I would see you. You were one of my parental role models that I learned from how to be a complete father to my own kids. I will dearly miss you and I am a better man for having you in my life! My deepest condolences to Mrs. Braunlin, Joannie, Cathy and families. God Bless You P.S. I also fondly remember Grandma Braunlin too!

Yes I did light a candle in NYC the day after Chuck passed away. We have been close friends for many years as other members of the Christian Endeavor group at Lakeview Heights Reformed Church as well. Death cannot separate us from that. In younger years a favorite saying of Chuck's would be "A Penny for your thoughts" Now I have millions of thoughts of the wonderful person he was. Many blessings to his family. Love Ron & Ann

I can't think of my childhood without thinking of Mr. Braunlin. I don't ever remember him NOT being a part of my life. The Volkswagens, the drawings of George and Abe (still hanging on my walls), going up to "Grandma Braunlin's", his hand on my forehead when I wasn't feeling that great making sure I didn't have a temperature, doing his funny German accent for us... all those memories will stay with me! I wish I could be there, but I'll be there in spirit!

My husband Rich and I know Chuck and Joan from CVS. I am sorry to read of Chuck's passing. I always enjoyed talking with him. He was a pleasant man and greeted me everytime he saw me in my card aisle. I will miss seeing him at the store. We won't be able to attend any service as we will be out-of-state. Our deepest sympathies to Joan and his family.
