Obituary of Robert K Haywood II

Robert K. ''Bob'' Haywood, II, age 75, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at home in Wayne. Mr. Haywood was born September 28, 1931 in Haledon, NJ the son of the late Robert and the late Lillian (Maher) Haywood. He lived in Wayne since 1972 and was formerly of Clifton. Mr. Haywood was a Graduate of Bloomfield College in 1954 and was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1989. He was retired from Haywood Marketing Associates in 2004 where he was the owner/operator for over 25 years. Mr. Haywood was an active member at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne and was the Our Lady of Consolation Academy CYO Basketball Coach for many years. He was a Coach for over 20 years in the Clifton and Wayne Little League and the Wayne PAL . He was an assistant coach at Neuman Prep in 1981 when the Girls Basketball Team won the State Championship. He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Mary (McKenzie), one daughter: Marybeth Paz, three sons: Robert Haywood, III, Matthew Haywood, David Haywood, one sister: Helene Littlewood, a cousin Elinor Bond and 8 Grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 am at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael Lombardo. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. www.mooresinfo.com
