Obituary of John Edward Dickerson

John Edward Dickerson, age 68, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Dickerson was born August 25, 1936 in Dundalk, MD the son of the late Virgil Paul and Edna May (Dodson) Dickerson. He lived in Haskell and was formerly of Paterson. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was employed by Dupont Co. , Pompton Lakes, NJ where he was Carpenter for 30 years retiring in 1994. Mr. Dickerson was a member of Wycoff United Methodist Church and the BPO Elks # 1895, Pompton Lakes He is survived by his wife the former: Florence Sehulster of Wanaque, one daughter: Debbie Vitale of Ogdensburg, two sons: Bruce of Landing, NJ and Scott of Vernon, NJ, his mother: Edna May (Dodson) Doyle of Midland Park, one sister: Guanda Francis of Pompton Lakes, a step-sister: Grace Farnsworth of Manchester,NJ, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is predeceased by his brother Bob Dickerson. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne with Dr. David E. Wiley officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made may be made to Wanaque 1st Aide Squad.
