Words seem powerless when trying to express our emotions at a time like this. Gerard loved his family so much and was so proud of them that he fought hard to stay with them as long as he could. Gerard always had a good word for everybody. If we all had that attribute, the world would be a better place.
Gerard brought much happiness to my sister Joan. My heart aches for her as she goes through this painful time.
Joan, you, Kristen and PJ have a new guardian angel, as I know he will be watching over you, the promise of his rainbow. His positive attitude and love for life will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be missed.

Gerard was a fun and wonderful man. He was always available for a chat and always had time for his friends, I’ll miss him telling us to, “Come over anytime.” We could always count on him to give great advice, from how to rewire the house to getting the best deal on a computer. (He did love to shop!). We will miss his zest for life; he loved fine things and fine food. We will miss his great recipes, and his great cooking. .We will always remember the man who talked about his family with more love and pride than could be measured.. We will miss him very much.

My darling Joan - there seem to be no words to say all that is in my heart. Gerard has been a wonderful addition to our family, a devoted husband, a loving father, and an always supportive and understanding brother-in-law. He wanted so for your happiness and for the well-being of the children. His loss is a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will always be with you. May you find comfort in knowing the great happiness you brought to his life. I'm sure that Gerard is with Dad now in heaven, and I know that that reunion must have been wonderful! My heart is with you, my precious sister. All my love.... Patty
