Obituary of Richard B. Lane

Richard B. Lane, age 70, of Paterson, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at University Of Medicine and Dentistry, Newark. Mr. Lane was born December 11, 1933 in Paterson, the son of the late Richard and Evelyn (Collins) Lane.He was a life long resident of Paterson. Mr. Lane received a BA and MA from The Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY. He served in the Army from 1956 to 1958. He was a self employed Composer, teacher and accompanist. Mr. Lane was a member of The Orpheus Club,The Ridgewood Choral, The Bergen Ethical Chorus, Adelphi, Music Educators Association of New Jersey and The American Society of Composer, Authors and Publishers. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Constance Lane. A private cremation was held and private burial of his cremains was in his family plot at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson. A memorial concert will be held on Saturday,November 20, 2004 at 3PM at The Benjamin Franklin School, 335 North Van Dien Ave. Ridgewood, NJ 07450 ( 201) 670-2780.
