So much time has gone by since Warner Lambert days, but Jon's passing has brought back so many memories. How lucky I was to be in the company of so many great people, and to get to travel with Jon to such exotic places. Always upbeat, always a smile on his face, whether we were shopping for ham operator devices in the markets of Japan, enjoying the changing of the guards in England, trying to resist sleep so that we could experience places like East Berlin or Amsterdam, or trying NOT to buy time shares in Maui. God speed my friend. I will always remember the twinkle in your eyes.

Jon Matson was a kind and gentle man. He always shared a happy smile, a jovial laugh and was a great storyteller. He loved his family and gave all his love and support. He was a very close friend to my father and they loved hunting together. He also was a good friend and mentor to my brother Paul. I'm grateful to have known Jon and wish Cathy and her family our deepest sympathies. He will be dearly missed. John Castell & Jim Brega
