This man was the embodiment of a "gentleman and a scholar." Never a harsh word and only the most wonderful of memories dealing with this man. May the Lord immerse him into his grace and compassion.

We were very sorry to hear of Norman's passing. He was our attorney when we closed on our first home in 1984! He made sure everything went OK and took very good care of us! May he rest in peace in Heaven. Life has not ended - but changed!

So sad, words cannot express our love of Norman. He has been my friend since childhood. He was my brother best friend, his best man who was a bit late for Frank’s wedding, one of Norman’s qualities was his lateness. He was always there when Frank called him with one of our families problems and he always helped. Maria, Harold and I hold you in our prayers and we send our love. Norman will forever be in our heart and memories.

To an incredibly loved and beautiful human, you will be missed and cherish. I will always remember our late night ice cream trips to Applegate Farms and that summer you let Alysea and I run the show at your law firm haha answering phones and taking “notes”. You are the best grandpa. I love you so much.

He was truly the best. His grandkids all called him "Grandpa Norman" naturally, but he was a father to me. I couldn't have asked for a better man to step into my life and raise me as their own. He was a light to so many of us, and his presence will be greatly missed. If he was able to help someone in need, he did, and almost always kept a smile on his face. He was loved by many, and will be remembered by us all.
Grandpa- I will miss the "cheesy" (generally) and sometimes poorly timed jokes, the lessons you taught me (whether intentionally or unintentionally), the night time drives to put the garbage out at your properties- followed by a snack run at quickchek, and so much more. You added value to my life, and that of all those blessed enough to spend time with you. You were a generous, fun, sarcastic, compassionate, and glass half full kind of guy- a rarity. I'll never forget the "self defense" lesson you gave me in the basement. It was a two move special- hit, and run away. You really showed that inflatable punching man, and made me laugh as always in the process. Thank you for all of the laughs we shared, for letting me ruin the clutch on your truck when I was learning how to drive stick, and thank you for being the best "partner" to your great grandson (David) in all of his super hero battles. He adored you.

Snack runs with grandpa were the BEST, especially when he would say "go ahead, get whatever you want" which was seriously like Christmas morning every time Hahaa Or when he would drive and scare us and we would say "we're closing our eyes" and he would respond with "well ok then, me too!" lol Grandpa was truly unforgettable, clearly. There is a reason we all remember so much about him, and a reason he was Ruby's favorite, even though I hate to admit it lol Thank you Grandpa for all that you were

Uncle Norman was the world’s greatest uncle. He had a way of making each of his nieces and nephews feel like the most special person in the world. Three words come to mind when I think of Uncle Norman: kindness, generosity and laughter.
Being great means that people smile when they think about you.
I remember the time we visited him shortly after I’d graduated from high school. He said, “Congratulations Gerald, that’s great….Did you know that your Dad never graduated from high school?” He then went on to explain that our Dad had already been accepted into Seton Hall, so he blew off his final exams.
All Dad could put together was, “Well, I didn’t want you to know that until after all of you had graduated.”
Uncle Norman gave 50 years to being a lawyer of conscience working in a place where many seemed to have lost their conscience. He always inspires us to do the right thing by watching out for the person who no one else is watching out for.
God bless you, Uncle Norman. Thank you for the love and the laughter.

My dear Uncle Norman....I will miss him terribly! I was so proud to call him my godfather! He was also my favorite uncle and most likely everyone's "favorite" uncle! Although I did not see him often, when I did, he was always attentive and made me feel like I was the most important person in the room, listening intently to whatever I had to say and interjecting "that's terrific!". If I had to pick 3 adjectives to describe him, I would say generous, fun-loving, witty. The nieces and nephews flocked to him!
A few fond memories that I will never forget....
-holiday celebrations at our home in CT
-taking us to Carvel for ice cream every time he came to visit (with 6 kids in our family, that was the only time we ever got to go for ice cream!)
-going with him to his "club" in Paterson, where he would always buy us a Yoohoo!
-his promise to open up a soft serve ice cream stand for us to work at
-letting me drive his brand new 280z when I was 16 years old
Uncle Norman was a good man who touched so many lives...a huge loss for our family! Maria, I am so sorry for the loss of your very special husband!
