My deepest condolences to Mrs O'Connor and the family! Ken was the BEST BOSS! There was never a dull moment working with him. I enjoyed working with him every single minute of the 17 years. We had the best examination team because of him. He taught us all how to have fun, laugh and enjoy life. There are so many stories that I will cherish because of him. I will miss you!

My deepest condolences to Maryann and the rest of his family and want to tell you I am here in South Alabama just brokenhearted.
I will always treasure my time spent working and traveling around the country with Ken. He was one of a kind and certainly one of the best guys I have ever had the privilege to know. He amazed me by being able to speak his mind and do it in a way that did not upset people. Just being around Ken, you could feel his gentleness, kindness, and good humor and that made me and everyone else love the guy.
As you know, I worked on his NJ exam team for many years and it was the happiest work time I ever had. We got the work done, but he always kept it fun and he found the humor in everything. Sometimes I do not think he always meant to be humorous, but once he realized there was humor in what he had done or said, he would be laughing right along with the rest of us. I could fill a book with the stories! He was a true artist with words when he was telling you how it was! I cannot help but smile when I think back over some of those words and the stories that went with them.
You could always see very easily that he deeply loved his family, our country, his friends, and the Giants. This world is just not quite as good as it was with Ken in it and it has lost a great guy. It makes it a little easier to think about him finally being with Kyle again and how glorious that must be. I feel so lucky to have known Ken and been his friend.

To Ken's family -sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Ken on the Prudential exam about 15 years ago. Ken was easy to get to know and I loved the daily chats we had.
Hope this story makes you smile.. As you know Ken was a Giant's fan. I live in Baltimore and was a die hard Colts fan. We often talked about football. One day we got into the 1958 game between the Giants and Colts. I actually knew Johnny Unitas through golf and lead with what an amazing game he and the Colts played that day. Keep in mind the game was played in 1958 -about 50 years before our conversation. As most sports fans know the game went into sudden death - so every play was critical .
Frank Gifford was the Giants star halfback . Ken loved Frank Gifford. One of the key plays was a 3rd down stop of Gifford that forced the Giants to punt . Ken got extremely animated about the "bad" spot on Gifford's run . He was adamant that the Giants were robbed and Unitas should have never had the chance to win the game. Ken was around 70 and I tried to get him the calm down - it was like the game was just played . Ken went on for quite some time about the bad call. I love Ken and have never witnessed that much passion about a game played 50 years ago. Ken's passion for the Giants was impressive- second only to his love of family.
I loved every minute I had with Ken. He was a special man.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather who was selfless in his love for his family. It was an honor to spend time with him and he always had a smile on his face especially when talking about his grandchildren. He was so proud of his daughter and his grandchildren. Sending love strength and prayers to his family as I know Ken will be greatly missed. Love, Jean

To Ken’s family and friends, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I knew Ken professionally back in the early 90’s until his retirement party and thought the world of him as a professional and certainly as a wonderful, wonderfully intelligent, kind, patient man with a great sense of humor and a keen eye on his profession. Ken was regularly entrusted with the some of the largest, most challenging and difficult audits in the country and he always handled them with confidence and ease. A wonderful man to work for, to learn from and a man one knew who loved his wife, his son and family very much and devotedly. I am so very sorry for your loss of this kind and wonderful man. Ken and you are in my prayers and I believe wholeheartedly that God has called home a special Angel. I’m so very sorry for your loss. In prayer and remembrance, Steve Guest

Ken was a great man. I knew Kenny I called him for years. I was at his wedding to Maryanne. I was there when Kyle was born. I was part of the great family. He was devoted to Kyle and Kelly and loved Maryanne with all his heart. He was a Special unique man God created. He smiled often whenever I was in his company with his family. He was ecstatic when his grandchildren were born. He was devoted to them. How lucky they all were to have each other. He will be missed. Please Maryanne and Family know that Kenny is looking into the Beautiful face of Almighty God, Kyle at his side. My love to all of you. Carol Cooper

Ken was an extremely kind, decent, and generous man. There is no better way to say it. Every image I have of him is laughing and smiling.
Like my own father, watching Ken with Kyle was an inspiration to any father. Ken told me years ago at my uncle's wake that he prayed for Kyle to come get him when it was his time; so, every time he saw Kyle in his dreams he said: "Not yet!" Lion and Tiger are back together now.

We are so very sorry for your loss. There was no greater fan at the kids’ soccer/basketball/flag football games than Mr. O’C. He was so proud of his family and he was a really wonderful person. May your memories of him bring you comfort. Sending love.
