Obituary of Edward W. Fritz

Edward W. Fritz, age 88, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Fritz was born February 14, 1932 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Edward J. and the late Emma (Siefert) Fritz. He lived in Wayne and grew up in Clifton. Mr. Fritz served in the US Army and during his service he was stationed at West Point Military Academy where he also learned to play and maintain the pipe organ in the Cadet chapel. He was employed by Wayne Adult School Wayne, NJ as the Director for many years before retiring. Mr. Fritz was a member of St. Ann's Melkite Catholic Church, Woodland Park. He was a member of the Garden State Theater Organ Society and was an avid musician – playing Organ and Piano. He is survived by his wife: Dolores (Kakaty) Fritz, his children : Edward Fritz and two daughters: Julie Sayad and Susan Fritz, and his grandchildren: Michelle, Joseph, Michael, Gabriella & Christopher. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 10-11 AM at St. Ann's Melkite Catholic Church, 802 Rifle Camp Rd, Woodland Park, NJ. The funeral service will also be Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Melkite Catholic Church and will be Celebrated by Rev. Kenneth Sherman.
