Obituary of Albert Joseph Piazza, Jr.

Albert Joseph Piazza, Jr., age 69, died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson after suffering from deteriorating health. Albert was born March 17, 1950 in Hackensack, NJ the son of the late Albert and the late Concetta (Lattanzio) Piazza. He lived in Clifton most of his life and was employed at Prudent publishing as a proofreader, where he formed close bonds with his coworkers. Al was musically and artistically talented. He played the guitar and was a singer in several bands throughout the years that played at local venues, most notably a member of "The Pickles". He could be characterized as an "animal whisper" based on his effect on cats and dogs and his love for them. Another gift he shared with the world was making everyone laugh with his witty sense of humor. Al was a musician, comedian, artist and philosopher. He is survived by his three brothers: John and his partner Matt, Joseph and his wife Francine, and Michael. His two nieces: Nicole and Lea as well as many life long friends- he will be truly missed. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be Thursday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes will be Celebrated by Fr. Gonzalo Torres-Acosta. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
