Obituary of Joseph Siecieska, Jr.
Joseph Siecieska Jr., age 73, of Wayne, NJ, died on Monday, August 12, surrounded by his family. Born on August 5, 1946, he grew up in Jersey City, before moving to Kearny, North Arlington, and finally to Wayne. He was proud to have served as a paratrooper, Airborne, in United States Army from 1966-1967. He then worked as a car parts manager at King Lincoln Mercury in Jersey City for 30 years before retiring.
Joseph married the love of the life, Elizabeth, in 1972. Together they enjoyed traveling, spending time with their family and friends, attending car shows and sporting events, hugging, holding hands, singing and dancing.
Joseph also loved being involved in Boy Scouts, coaching, and many activities over the years with his son Joseph, III and later, his grandson Joey, who brought him tremendous joy.
Joseph leaves behind his beloved son Joseph John, III and his wife Jessica (Borrell) of Totowa, NJ; his cherished grandson Joey; his dear brother, Frank; and many loving friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Steen) in 2017; his sister Lorraine; and his parents, Mary and Joseph.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 10 Franklin Place, North Arlington, NJ.
