I am so sorry to hear about her death. I studied years ago with Ms. Vajas.
We used to laugh because I had a country twang trying to learn to sing
opera. I wanted to build my voice. She succeeded. I am a colaturosoprano.
She was a wonderful teacher and person. Its been many years since I saw her and a few weeks back she popped into my mind. I found her old phone number and I called but there was no answer and then a funny feeling came over me and I new something was wrong.
Life takes over and sometimes we don"t get to see the people that mean the most to you. I wish I had only been able to see her one more time.
