Obituary of Michael W. Gerardi

Michael William Gerardi, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Born on December 2, 1925 in Hackensack, the son of the late Domenick and Angelina (Iozzia) Gerardi. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Gerardi was a plant manager for National Electric Coil division of McGraw Edison before retiring in 1986. He was originally a resident of Paterson, before becoming a resident of Sonata Bay in Bayville in 1993. He lived there for 20 years before moving to Sunrise of Wayne five years ago.

Mr. Gerardi was an active parishioner, usher, and Eucharist minister of St Brendan's R.C. Church in Clifton as well as an active parishioner of St. Barnabas R.C. Church in Bayville.

Mr. Gerardi is survived by his loving children, his daughter Denise McEnerney and her husband Al, and son Anthony Gerardi and his wife Susanne; his devoted grandchildren Michelle and Michael McEnerney, and Anthony Gerardi and his wife, Jennifer; and his cherished great grandchildren Colin, Kayley, and Nick Gerardi and his wife, Jessica.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Anne (Ricci); his brother Bruno; and his sisters Lucy and Grace.

Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd, Wrightstown.
