My deepest condolences to Joe’s family. Joe worked in my father’s and grandfather’s butcher shop (Eisenhardt’s Prime Meats) in Richmond Hill, NY when he was in high school. I worked there also on Saturdays and was about six years younger than Joe. My father and grandfather (both now deceased) thought the world of him, and so did I. He acted like a big brother to me. We had great conversations about rock music, cars and sports. People naturally go separate ways during life, but I always remembered him from time to time. Rest In Peace, Joe.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I have know Joe for over 55 years and have e-mailed him back & forth for at least 25 during the Triple Crown Series where we both would make our picks. He also came with me & Charlie Irving to Woodstock. He will be missed by all of the Winther's & Al Stero alumni

Boss, mentor, co-worker, confidant, but most of all... a very good and true friend of 31 years. I feel both fortunate for having taken Joe up on the job offer he gave me in1987 and therefore twice blessed for having gotten to know him. Shall truly miss our now post-retirement get-togethers / revisiting the many, many memories and stories that he and I shared as we transitioned thru FTS to FastTax to Thomson to Thomson-Reuters. Joe's memory shall always hold a very special place in my heart.
