Obituary of William Frederick Weber

William Frederick Weber, age 88, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Weber was born October 9, 1928 in Hoboken, NJ the son of the late William F. and the late Helen M. (Leighton) Weber. He lived in Wayne since 1964 and was formerly of Rutherford. Mr. Weber was a graduate of Rutherford High School, received his BS from Syracuse University and an MBA from Rutgers University in 1957. He served in the US Army during Korean Conflict. Mr. Weber was employed by Walter Kidde Co., Belleville, NJ as a Purchasing Agent for 28 years and later at Valcor Engineering in Springfield before retiring in 1995. Mr. Weber was a long time member of Preakness Reformed Church and a Cub Scout leader for Troop 107 in Wayne. He is survived by children: sons: Alan B. and William F. Weber and Valerie and her husband Thomas Cope, grandchildren: Tommy and Grace, nephew: Jeffrey and nieces: Nancy and Lynne and a cousin: Raymond Weber. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Bird) in 1978. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-6 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Eric Nichols. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
