Obituary of Richard Englehardt

Richard (Dick) Englehardt, age 83, of Totowa died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mr. Englehardt was born January 12, 1933 in Paterson, the son of the late John and the late Anna (Beckert) Englehardt. He served in the US Army. Mr. Englehardt was the manager of Grand Hardware in Paterson for over 50 years before retiring. He loved all animals and especially enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. The squirrels would eat peanuts right from his hand. Dick is survived by his beloved children, Theresa and her husband David Ballard, Colleen Hrobak, Dawn Englehardt and Richard and his wife Claudia; his cherished grandchildren, David Ballard, Robert Hrobak, Christopher Hrobak, Matthew Englehardt, Anthony Englehardt, and great-grandson, Dominic Ballard; and his siblings, Edwin, Paul (Bud), and Alma. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (DeLosh); his brother, John (Tink), and his grandson, Joseph Ballard. All arrangements are private at the request of the family.
