It is with sadness that my family learns of the passing of Mr. Englehardt.
On behalf of the Cordero Family -for many years of Grand & Spruce Streets, we offer the Englehardt family our deepest condolences.
My 7 siblings & I knew Mr. Englehardt from the hardware store since the late 1960s. A great American, a true gentleman - always kind, courteous and friendly to everyone.
Through the years he always knew all of us kids from the neighborhood. Even during a 20+ years military career, he never forgot who I was and was happy & proud to see me whenever I would stop by. I will always cherish those memories of him.
My dad always went to the store for supplies and, with limited English, somehow Mr. Englehardt was able to help him with all the my dad needed.
I am sure I speak for my dad and my siblings when I say: Thank you for the memories. He shall be missed. May he rest in peace. Until we meet again........
