Obituary of Salvatore A. Preziosi
Salvatore A. Preziosi, age 91, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Mr. Preziosi was born February 16, 1925 in Stamford, CT the son of the late Aniello and the late Maria (Maffucci) Preziosi. Mr. Preziosi was a resident of Wayne for the past 20 years and was formerly of Haledon. He served in the US Army and the Merchant Marines during World War II. Mr. Preziosi was an investigator for the Passaic County Prosecutors Office in Paterson before retiring. He was a former little league baseball coach and umpire for the Prospect Park Little League. He was also a violinist and a music lover.
Mr. Preziosi is survived by his beloved daughter Janis and her husband Peter Coe; his devoted granddaughters, Kelly Apperstein, and Tracey and her husband Christopher Wyton; and two loving sisters, Marion Morris and Sylvia Iannazzi.
He was predeceased by his wife, Madeline (Volpe) in 2015.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
