condolences to all who were lucky enough to know both Sal and Madeline. I miss them both. I am babysitting for my grandchildren, something both Madeline and Sal loved to do. I will not be at the memorial.

Sal's warmth, humor, and friendship were well known and among so many of William Paterson University's social science faculty (and students!) over the years. Sal and his wife, Madeline, became cherished "elders" of our academic community, auditing our courses, attending our social gatherings, and becoming "family" to a lot of us.
