Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Mrs. Shapiro was my third grade teacher, and my favorite teacher at Dogwood Hill Elementary School. She was so kind and supportive. She made me feel smart and important. I can remember visiting her in her classroom after moving to 4th and 5th grade, and always looking forward to our chats. I still have a necklace she gave me when I graduated from Dogwood. I will always remember her very fondly.

My Dear CarolAnn,
Although we have not seen each other since retirement, I will always, always remember your kindness to me as a new staff member. Your laugh and smile would always make my day! Your love of teaching and "your students" was there always. I will smile and remember you with those Jumbo Oreo Cookies ! My sincere sympathy to your family. God Bless and give you all peace.

Please accept my sincere sympathy at the loss of Carole Ann. I had the pleasure of working with Carole Ann at Dogwood Hill School as well as with the Oakland Education Association. Carole Ann was a wonderfully intelligent and compassionate person, whose dedication and persistence could always be counted upon to complete any task given to her. She is fondly remembered and May God hold
Carole Ann in the palm of His hand.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Carole Shapiro. I taught at Dogwood as well as the other schools. Carole was always a soft spoken and sweet person. My husband and I rented your apartment at 75 Manchester CT after your family moved from there. We had many wonderful memories in that apartment with our son who was born there. May the Lord bring you all comfort in these difficult days that lie ahead of you. God's blessings.

Please accept my deepest condolence on Carole Ann's passing. I was fortunate to have worked beside her for many years as a third grade teacher at Dogwood. She also was my daughter Karen's teacher. Carole Ann was such a gentle and caring person. Always had a calming influence on her students as she bestowed the love of knowledge in the classroom. It was a privilege to have known her as a colleague and friend. She has touched many lives and hearts and will be greatly missed.

Carole Shapiro was a creative, sensitive and competent teacher. She brought joy and excitement into her classroom each and every day. She made learning a vibrant experience for the children. She was in every respect a 'child centered teacher." She will long be remembered by her former students and their parents as the teacher that was completely devoted to the teaching and learning process.
