Obituary of Bruce Raymond Batson

Bruce Raymond Batson, age 70, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. Mr. Batson was born May 13, 1945 in Paterson, the son of the late Kenneth and the late Hannah (Storms) Batson. He lived in Wanaque his entire life. Mr. Batson served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Before retiring, he was a master plumber employed by Gervens Enterprises in Bloomingdale. Mr. Batson also was an ultralight pilot. Mr. Batson is survived by his beloved wife Joan Ann (Pasco) Batson; his loving children Melisa and her husband Jimmy Dillinsky, Jayme and her husband Jason Oettinger and one son: Bradley and his wife Amanda Batson; his and cherished grandchildren, Dylan Dillinsky, Jessica Dillinsky, Austin Oettinger and Bentley Batson. He was predeceased by his sisters, Joan Chrisbacher, Diane Burke and Jane Campbell, and his brother, Jack. Visiting hours will be Thursday February 25, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Ronald Pettibone. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Memorials donations in Mr. Batson's name may be made to the VFW Post 6765 Cemetery Fund, PO Box 85, Wanaque, NJ 07465
