Our lives were all the better for having known this wonderful man. He was one of the most kind and generous men on God's earth, and it was our good fortune to have known him. Bruce gave so much of himself to his family and friends, to his community, to struggling families, and even when it became difficult for him to do anything more, he'd still do it. We will forever remember the man who nurtured our family's great need for a surrogate grandfather figure....who let us spend all summer swimming at his house, playing in his yard, sharing his vegetables from the garden, and just spending fun times on the porch teasing and talking. We've always admired the never-give-up attitude and benefited from your encouragement to keep going always. To Joan Ann, Melissa and Jimmy, Brad and Amanda, Jayme and Jay, and those beautiful grandchildren....we love you and thank you for sharing your husband and Dad with us. Especially to Dylan and Jesse...thank you for sharing Grandpa. He loved you so much, and we enjoyed watching you two grow up with him.
