Words can not express the love and respect I had for this man. He always said I was his third daughter and treated me as such. He taught us the true value of family and for all his love and kindness he will hold a special spot in my heart. He will be missed by many and may he rest in peace.

Dad - kind, accepting, perceptive, generous, intelligent, tireless, creative, artistic, and silly. Best advocate and supporter a daughter could have. At the end of parades with a soda, at the bottom of the ski slope to see the face, at my side to build a house, watch kids, bake cookies, expect better grades. -- simply everything. Best hugs. I miss you like crazy already. I love you.

Bob Carney was much more than a Father-in-law. He was the father I never had. While we did have some lively debates over political issues he was a great role model as a father and a man.
He was my sounding board when it came to the ordeals we each faced while in the service. He was the only one who really understood what one goes through in the military. I will never forget our talks and the comfort I received from them.
I will miss him.
