Obituary of Ruth E. Lisenby

Ruth E. (Goodrich) Lisenby, age 98, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, January 26, 2015 at home in Little Falls. Mrs. Lisenby was born April 18, 1916 in Paterson, the daughter of the late John and the late Grace (Bolson) Goodrich. She lived in Paterson most of life before moving to Totowa and then Little Falls. Mrs. Lisenby retired from Curtiss Wright in Woodridge in 1981 where she was a switchboard operator for 40 years. She attended the Union Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Little Falls since 1953. Mrs. Lisenby was also a member of the Jolly Seniors of Little Falls, the Curtiss Wright Seniors, the Peoples Park Seniors and the Seniors of United Methodist Church of Little Falls. Mrs. Lisenby is survived by her beloved daughter Norma and her husband John Ketterer; her loving grandchildren Sara Ketterer, Leah Ketterer and Justin and his wife Danielle Ketterer; and her cherished great-grandsons, Colin and Liam. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Bennett Lisenby. Visiting hours will be Thursday January 29, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 am will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1719 Rt. 10 Suite 229, Parsippany, NJ 07054
