Wow...98 years. How amazing is that? I am turning 58 this year and don't have a memory without Ruthie in it. She was like another mother to me as my mother was to Norma. As we all grew up together at 86 Sheridan Ave. To be surrounded by family all of your life is a special gift that many do not get to enjoy. I loved the "comedy show" that was Ruth & Norma...the give & take, the needling & always with love. To get to be part of Norma's life as she became a wife & mother was a gift that Ruth spoke with my mother about often. And she loved her grandchildren with all her heart! I hope Bev & Ruthie are catching up as I type this. My heart breaks for Norma & John & Sara & Leah & Justin (& the furry grandchildren) as they mourn the loss of such a huge part of their lives. You guys did good. And now Ruth is resting in the embrace of all she believed in. We should all be so lucky. Love you all. Rest now, dear Ruthie.

While I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved Prayer Partner Ruth, I celebrate all that her life meant to so many people including myself. Her constant prayers helped me miraculously recover from a serious illness and I was privileged to be by her side every Friday morning at the LFUMC Prayer Circle lifting up prayer for many in need. We were lucky enough to be occasional pen pals once I moved to upstate New York. I am grateful that Ruth has found that peace that passes all understanding. My condolences to Norma as well as John and the family.
