Obituary of Barbara Ross Mills

Barbara Ross Mills, age 62, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Pawleys Island, SC. Barbara was born December 25, 1949 in New Brunswick, NJ the daughter of the late James J. and Peggie Ross of Highland Beach, FL. She spent most of her childhood in Cedar Grove, NJ and her adult life raising her children in Wayne, NJ. She was a 1968 graduate of Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, NJ then later graduated from Marymount College of Virginia in 1970 and received an Associate Degree in Art. She loved to paint and make stained glass. Being at the beach was one of her favorite things; she loved to swim and collect shells on family vacations. She was always involved with her children's hobbies and activities, serving as Den mother and Girl Scout troop leader, as well as coaching soccer and even teaching Art. She is survived by her husband Burton L. Mills; her mother Peggie Ross; a daughter, Julia Mills and two sons, Burton R. Mills and, Robert and his wife Jennifer Mills; her sister Sherry and her husband Clifford Keenan and, her brother James J. and his wife Ronda Ross. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Cremation was private.
