Obituary of Arthur W. Lynds

Arthur Lynds, age 82, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Wayne, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2011 with his family by his side. Arthur was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, son of the late Wesley and the late Violet (Ward) Lynds. While serving in the United States Army he corresponded with Corinne Braen, who he later married. The couple resided in Wayne most of their married life where they raised their family. Corinne passed away in 1997. He was a retired electrician and longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 102. The neighbors would always come to "Art" for a tool, some advice or a helping hand. You could always find him working in his yard, swimming, or playing golf. Mr. Lynds is survived by his beloved daughters Bonnie Kowalski and her husband Jim, Debbie Wetzler and her husband Andrew, his cherished grandchildren John and Jeffrey Kowalski, his dear sister Vivian Rockey, and his loyal friend and companion Kaye Geers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
