Obituary of Agnes D. Juneiman
Agnes D. (Rose) Juneiman, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at home. Mrs. Juneiman was born in Paterson, the daughter of Thomas and Susan (Dunn).
A lifelong resident of Paterson, she was a graduate of Eastside High School and took additional study at Fordham University. She was a microbiologist with the Paterson Board of Health for over 45 years and participated in a ground breaking study of the Rh Factor conducted by the Department of Health. She was a charter member of the Church of the Messiah in Paterson. A polio survivor of the 1916 epidemic, Mrs. J was a member of the Polio Network of NJ. A lady in every sense of the word, Mrs. J will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A most generous individual, she supported many charities. An animal lover, much of her effort focused on the elimination of animal abuse, neglect and suffering.
Mrs. J was predeceased by her husband Milton Varick Juneiman, a teacher with the Totowa School System; her son John David, an actor, master cook, proud Irishman and devoted son; her sisters Jane Dean Robinson and her husband Sydney and Grace Simpson McKinnon and her husband David and her nephews Thomas David McKinnon and Richard Louis Robinson.
She is survived by her nieces Joan M. Harrison and Susan J. McKinnon; her nephews and their wives: Sydney and Helen Robinson and William and Dorothy Norman; her beloved cousin David Dean, many grand nieces and nephews and dear friends.
"We will be known forever by the tracks we leave."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home which will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Setzer.
Visiting on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
Memorial donations in Mrs. J's name may be made to an animal charity of your choice.
