Well where do I start, I was 3 years old when Frank and Elsie moved in next door to our family.. we used to dig for walnuts in his back yard and crack them open with a hammer on the wall.. he always sang you scream I scream we all scream for ice cream ....as the years went on he was more like a second father to me. I was always sitting on the porch talking to him. He saw me grow ,get married have children and then my own grandchildren came along he had the pleasure of seeing my family grow..his garden was the best, he would say need tomatoes Diane? of course you know the answer to that one! I know your with all your loved ones including my mom and dad. well Frank, you will surely be missed and your always going to be a part of my memory.. till we meet again, and sit and have those chats..
you were, and always will be Captain Frank!!!

There will always be a special place in my heart for grandpa Frank, as his favorite grandson, he met the world to me. Honestly,I'm not sure if I was truly his favorite but he never let on I wasn't. He was soft spoken and showed true character by example. He opened his home and accepted me into his family as one of his own from the first day I met him, while dating his grand-daughter Lauren. I always looked forward to our family gatherings just to see and speak with him. Those will always be "our" special times, He always found time to pull me aside and have our one-on-one. "How is everything going Rob?" was more than just a typical social courtesy for him. Because, when he asked, I really knew he wanted to know.
The Holidays will not be the same without grandpa Frank, sharing a glass of wine or even a beer was truly a jovial event with him.

To me, Grandpa Rascio had always been Lala, because song always emanated from him. When I was at my tiniest, his knee was one of my favorite places to be, and there I would sit as he sang, and his voice, so unique, strong, and warm, would always leave me begging for more. His house was a magical place for me growing up, it was where the decorations on the shelves moved and sang (battery-powered, I would later learn, but they enchanted me all the same), where I was given food to the point that my stomach became as "hard as a rock," where beans grew in the hundreds, and where Santa took the time out of his busy schedule to allow me to sit on his lap and hear him sing, "La, la, la." The memories will last forever, and each one of them are precious. While I will miss him, I find comfort in the thought that he is still singing, and that one day, I'll be able to join in. I love you, Lala!

I will always remember my grandfather as a very special man who was always so welcoming and high spirited and generous in all he did. He would always make me laugh and be sure to offer varieties of delicious foods and treats both in his home and then more to take home with me. A very precious memory is that we were baptized together when I was about 12 years old. I remember being nervous in the moments beforehand but he reassured me and put me at ease. There are so many things that make me think of him: planting butter bean seeds in the garden, the aroma of a cigar or pipe tobacco, and the feel of a bristly beard since grandpa always said,"Ow, your whiskers hurt!" when I would give him a kiss and that would make me laugh. He is the best grandpa ever and I will miss him deeply and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

I will miss "Frankie Boy" so much at our Family gatherings for all the holidays and birthdays,Traditional July 4th picnic at Alice and Carl's,our many many telephone conversations of laughter and sometimes more serious when Elsie wasn't doing so good.I counted it an honor to be able to try to cheer you up and help in anyway I could.Your hospitality at your home was always an open door to everyone and anyone, and always offered a cup of coffee and dessert and very often to taste something you made special and always told me "it was the best ever you ever tasted".You were truly a one of a kind, and you were very kind to me always.I liked my nickname you use to call me "Hello Nanny" when you seen me or called me on the phone.I'll truly miss you,but I know I'll see you again when I go Home to be with the Lord and you say "Hi Nanny, I've been waiting for you to arrive" Love you Pops

Both Frank and Elsie were a wonderful couple who added joy to any occasion. Grandma Elsie was always giggling and made everyone around her also giggle. Frank was always very generous with all the vegetables he grew in his garden both to family and friends. Even this year he was planning to make a garden, I'm not certain if he completed his planting this year but we will certainly miss his delicious tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Frank was always cheerful and had a way of commanding respect. He was in no way a bully, but he had a presence that made everyone feel that he was in charge. "The Captain is here."

-A Tribute to My Dad-,You answered all the challenges of life head on and with resolve, supplied the needs of your family. You took care of Mom faithfully even up to your last words, saying "Feed Mom first" in the hospital.
In the midst of all the opinions about the deeper things of life, the many misconseptions and total ignorance of Gods Word, you came to gripes with Gods plan of salvation.
For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH and that NOT of yourselves,it is the GIFT of GOD,NOT of WORKS,least any man should boast.
Now you are in Heaven. We grieve with the inner joy that we will one day spend eternity with you.
My love and respect for you is unquestionable. You have been a very special unique man,a loving husband,a devoted father,a joyful Grand-Father and a generous friend.See ya soon Dad to taste the best tomatoes I've ever tasted, grown by Captain Frank,my Dad. Love,Your Son Carl

Never had the privilege of meeting Carl's dad. Nevertheless, my heart goes out to you and the family on behalf of Barbara as well. Evidently, the family is comforted by God and the fact that they don't have to mourn as those who have no hope. Your dear loved one is with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus...praise God! May your mom be comforted as well. God bless you all for all the years you shared with your Dad and for all the Christian things you and Alice have faithfully done for both parents as well as others in your family circle. Surely the Lord will award you many crowns for your dedicated ministry and example of God's love. In Christ, Doug Verduin

I remember all the special holiday dinners at Grandpa's house, his love of family, generosity and love of life. How he always made the youngest ones feel important with his attention, he was never too busy. I'll never forget seeing him crawl around on his hands and knees with our kids when they were little. He always had something from his garden for you and his door was always open to anyone. He made me feel welcome and like part of the family from the first time I met him. Even though he is my Grandpa by marriage, I've always thought of him as my Grandpa.

The memories of my grandpa go back to when I was a child and he would play Santa each year at Christmas. Of course, we believed it was Santa until one year I saw grandpa running down the front lawn and get into grandma's car! I remember playing in grandpa's business truck, pumping water from the well in the back yard (and getting all muddy with my Easter clothes) and all those visits to the store and to Butch's next door for penny candy. I remember scaring poor grandpa when I backed his Caddy down the driveway in reverse when I was too young to know what to do. I remember "You like em, you eat em" and "If you don't believe me, ask me". But, most of all, I remember his extravagant generosity and love for his family. I will miss him greatly and all of my visits to his house. I'm so thankful to have visited each time I was in NJ for business or pleasure since there are now so many memories. I am also thankful that grandpa put his trust in Jesus and I know I'll see him again in heaven when it is my time. I love you grandpa.

In memory of my dear father-in-law,who always called me "Ollie". "Absent from the body, present with the Lord". He is more alive now than he ever was here on earth, and believe me he was a lively person, he always use to tell me "I'm hypo", he meant hyper. I have to be doing something, and I love to work. I want to wear out, not rust out. I will miss you and our nightly telephone calls with your devoted son, Carl. See you up there before you know it Dad. Your other daughter, Ollie.

He was always there throughout my childhood memories, he used to sing us a Italian song that went, "LA, LA, LA.." And I have always remembered this, every time I have seen him. That's why I call him Lala. He was very giving to me and my sister, Karina because at Christmas time he would give us both $5 and from him I knew that was everything he had for us, he was very generous. He always had a vibrant glow about him that made everyone happy and laugh. He loved to garden and on occasions when we would visit him in the summer time he would give us fresh fruits from the garden to eat on the way home and for salads and other meals. I will miss him , he was a very great great-grandfather, and I will always try to make him proud as he looks down on me from the heavens.
-Love you
