Brad...so it’s been years, and I’ve always thought of you and looked you up this past year. I can’t even express the sadness and shock. I imagained an entire life for you, with an amazing wife and kids, and cracking jokes and making people laugh and feel joy just by being around you and by being your friend. You were always an amazing and complex person...you felt deeply for people. And you were always unabashedly yourself. I love that you threw your cat a birthday party. I love your parents and how much they love you. You were the first person I really connected with growing up, and genuinely loved. I will never forget you for that. Thank you for our great conversations, and for “gnocchi foot” and for being someone I love. I hope you hear this... I hope it echoes...I remember it all as if it were a day ago and I will remember you always for the person I knew.

Brad, I didn't know you, but from what I have heard about you the job you did at the group home was pretty amazing. I was once the manager there & the people are still dear to my heart. God will know the good you have done while on earth & bless you when you arrive in Heaven.

I honestly can't imagine a world without Brad in it. We've been out of touch for a long time but it always made me happy to think of him and his funny faces, ridiculous sounds, and the way he genuinely cared about the people around him. His gift was his ability to make other people laugh at themselves, not just him. He was so perceptive and instinctively knew how to put people at ease. I'll remember him always as a guy devoted to his family, and the most loyal friend anyone could have.
My heart aches for the Marotta family and for his fiance.
The world has lost a true mensch.
