Obituary of Eileen T. Smith

Eileen T. (Nielson) Smith, age 81, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Wayne View Care Center, Wayne. Mrs. Smith was born March 30, 1928 in Moonachie, NJ the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Vera (Mulvany) Nielson. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Lions Head Lake. She was employed by the Wayne Board of Education and worked at Schulyer Colfax School and later at Wayne Hills High School, as a Dietician. Mrs. Smith was a Parishioner and Eucharistic minister at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Pequannock .She was also a Member of Pit Crew # 121 and 514. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Andrew J.Smith, three sons: Bruce and his wife Landa, Bryan J. and his wife Karen Smith, Kurt and his fiance Tina Pirard, one daughter: Debbie and her husband Fred Zavattaro, one sister: Doris Leming, 9 grandchildren, Sean,Brandi, Bryan,Jennifer.Felicia, Kimberly,Matthew,Sherry & Lisa and 5 great-grandchildren, Madison,Olivia,Giana,Damian & Makayla. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Newark-Pompton Tpke, Pequannock Twsp and will be celebrated by Father John F. Taranatino. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa.
