Obituary of Raymond Anthony Ruffilo

Raymond Anthony Ruffilo, age 63, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson. Mr. Ruffilo was born September 22, 1945 in Paterson, the son of the late Joseph and the late Margaret (Zasa) Ruffilo. He lived in Wayne. He served in the US Army during Vietnam War. Mr. Ruffilo was a Clifton fire fighter for 27 years before retiring. He was a member of American Legion Post #121 in Totowa and V.F.W. Post #7165 in Clifton and attended Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church He is survived by his wife and best friend Carolyne (Cannon); his loving daughter Carolyne and her husband Joseph Capizzano; cherished grandson, Joseph Raymond Capizzano; dear brother Joseph; and his "adopted" son, John Luciano. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. A funeral Mass of will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
