Obituary of Leonard Kowalczyk
Leonard Kowalczyk, age 55, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Mr. Kowalczyk was born October 9, 1953 in Passaic, the son of the late Jacob and the late Mary (Sroka). He was formerly of Garfield and lived in Wayne for over 30 years. He was employed by Schering-Plough for over 30 years and was the Director of Strategic Resourcing in Summit. Mr. Kowalczyk was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, served as a Mass coordinator and was on the grounds committee. He was a member of Sports Friends and was a contributor to "The Seeing Eye", the guide dog organization.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elise (Brunner); his loving children Christopher and Meagan, his dear sister Maryann and her husband Joseph Csencsits, his brother Francis and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
