I have just learned of the passing of Wayne Lionel and wanted to offer my sympathy to his family and friends. In November of 2012 he performed a delightful magic show at the Giggles Children's Theater @ St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Paterson. The pediatric patients loved him so much and he was generous enough to invite several children up on the stage to share the spotlight. He certainly helped me fulfill my mission to lift the spirits of sick children and everyone else who was in the audience that day. Please let me know if you would like a DVD of the show or show photos: mcaliendo@mmissions.org or 973-754-4623.

Wayne was a gracious, humble man who presented the Gospel in a "magical way" to a group of enthralled kids at a VBS in Clifton's Hope Reformed Church many moons ago! I'm thankful that Wayne was moved to use his gifts to promote spiritual growth in children. To God be the glory!

I'm sure I speak for all of us over here at WPD. We had the pleasure of visiting with Wayne 3X week and from our opening, he was a special star. Always lighthearted, smiling, with a variety of laughs and magic that entertained everybody here. And yes, he knew his faith well and often discussed it with us, loved his family and friends.....and a gazillion other things that occupied his creative mind. He will be VERY missed.

I will miss Wayne ...his easy smile, quick wit, and love for life. He had a strong hope for the future in God's coming Kingdom on earth, and that faith, and his love of God, sustained him through many dark days. May you soon hear those words: "Well done, thy good and faithful Servant! Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." I will miss you while we wait for Christ's reappearing, my dear Friend. Love always, Cheryl

He loved doing his magic! And although Wayne has "disappeared" temporarily from our sight now, he will "reappear" when Jesus returns to set up His Kingdom on this earth. I will miss you your easy smile and quick wit, my dear Friend. You were a wonderful example of a faithful Servant of God, who never doubted the future God promised you. I have confidence that you will hear those words from Christ: "Well done thou good & faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." With love in the one Hope, Cheryl

I want to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. I have enjoyed reading everyone's memories and stories about my Dad. My Dad carrying a pen was normal to Janice and I, it wasn't anything special. We knew it was something special between the two of you Tracy, so he will have a pen on him. We put a lot of thought into what he has with him, I think he would be happy. We will miss him greatly.

I am Wayne's Niece Tracy, My mother is Patty, Wayne's Sister. I have So many wonderful memories of My Uncle Wayne.....There are So many great memories that would fill up many of these boxes. One thing that My Uncle Wayne has done with me since I can remember was to try to catch him without a pen & he would give me a quarter. I tried My hardest Everytime I was around My Uncle ( Which was a lot). I just saw My Uncle in May of this year, out of all those years ( I am 46 now), I only caught him a total of 4 times. But, it kept the both of us on our toes. I Love You & Will Forever Miss Uncle Wayne! Your Niece Tracy <3
