Dear Dad,
It's been almost 2 months since God has welcomed you home. I haven't been able to bring myself to these words of expression until now. I still pick up my phone to call you just to say hello and then sadly realize I cannot. The pain & emptiness in my heart is something I am praying will be filled up with the knowledge that you are happy in paradise with Grandma and all your friends and family in Heaven. God is lucky to have you in his home now. I miss your kind words of encouragement for the girls and me. I hear your laughter and jokes and see your smile. I am grateful that my children were able to have you for so many years in their lives and of course, I am honored that you have been in mine. You and Grandma are gentle souls and have been the kindest, sweetest, caring, generous (parent/grandparents) anyone could ask for. I only wish others could experience the sort of love we have received from you both over the years. We are all so lucky because of your presence in our lives. Dad, we miss you terribly but take comfort in knowing you are in loving hands. I believe you can now eat anything you want...including all the chocolate cake you can get your hands on.... and not to worry because you can wipe your hands on us anytime you want... then we'll know where that little stain on our shirt came from. :) I love you so much, Dad and even though we are still miles apart...I feel your presence in my heart. There's nothing better in life than knowing you have some wonderful angels on your shoulder....
