Obituary of Olive Joan Fairclough

Olive Joan (Ewens) Fairclough, age 86, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Fairclough was born December 16, 1922 in East Ham, England, the daughter of the late Robert and the late Florence E. (Brown) Ewens. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Maghull, London, England. Mrs. Fairclough served in the British Air Force during WWII. She was employed in England as a geriatric nurse. Mrs. Fairclough was a member of Preakness Bible Church, Wayne and the Golden Age Seniors.She is survived by her children: Brenda Janice and her husband Alan Pitt and Derek William and his wife Kathy Fairclough; her 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; her sister Vera and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be in Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa. Memorial donations in Olive's name may be made to Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia, 34th.
