Obituary of George W. DeBoer

George W. DeBoer, Sr., age 94, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. DeBoer was born January 6, 1915 in Prospect Park, the son of the late William and the late Anna (Nauta) DeBoer. He lived in Paterson and was employed by E. Oostdyk Trucking as a maintenance worker before retiring and was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church. He is survived by three daughters: Betty Ann VanRiper, Audrey Stranburg and Lois DeBoer and George W., Jr., 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and six sisters; Addie Jackson, Bertha Peterson, Jessie Behnke, Wilma Maas, Adele Carroll and Eleanor Des Lauries. His wife Elizabeth ( Yott) predeceased him in 2004. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
