Obituary of Alfred B. Corsini
CORSINIAlfred, 89, of Saddle River, died Saturday at Lyons Veterans Hospital, Lyons NJ. He was born on December 15, 1919 in the small mining town of Galton, PA to the late Vittorio and Aida Corsini, immigrants from Florence, Italy. He lived in Paterson, NJ and worked for Wrights Aeronautical until he was drafted in 1943, where he served in the European Theater as a communications specialist in the Fifth Armored Division. He received an honorable discharge and purple heart after being wounded in action. Upon his return to the states Mr. Corsini owned and operated the Windmere Tavern in West Milford and Joe and Chuck's Tavern in Paterson. After the birth of his daughter he moved to Wayne and became Foreman of Independence Plating Corporation in Paterson, working there for 30 years until his retirement. Mr. Corsini was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and his wife of 53 years Jane (Martin). Cherished father of daughter Jan Dutko of Saddle River and her husband Wladimir, and loving grandfather of the greatest joys of his life, Alexandra, with whom he shared his birthday, and Elizabeth, his best little buddy. He would want us not to mourn his death, but celebrate his life; and quoting his favorite song know that he "lived a life that's full, I've traveled each and every highway, and more much more than this, I did it my way".
