Obituary of Dorothy Loretta Heinrich
Services will be held for Dorothy Loretta (Kramer) Heinrich of Oakland, previously of Wayne, who died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Mrs. Heinrich was born September 13, 1919 in Paterson. She grew up in Paterson and Florida, graduating from Miami Edison High School.After her marriage to Ralph Frank Heinrich in 1942, the couple made their home in Fair Lawn where they raised their four children and where they resided until relocating to Toms River in 1991. Mrs. Heinrich moved to Siena Village in Wayne following her husband's death in 2002.Mrs. Heinrich was a homemaker who worked briefly, prior to her marriage, at the Barbizon clothing company in the Paterson area, and for E.I. duPont in Pompton Lakes. She also assisted from time to time with the family business, the Totowa Candy Kitchen in Paterson, owned and operated by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Annie and Joseph Heinrich. She was a member of the Preakness Valley United Reformed Church of Wayne.She is survived by four children, Dorothy O'Connor and her husband, James, of Oakland; Ralph J. Heinrich of Bend, Oregon; Susan Codling and he husband, Barry, of Franklin, TN; and Fred Heinrich and his wife, Robin, of Slate Hill, NY; seven grandchildren, Andrew McKay of Hackensack, and Jennifer Kerin of Wyckoff; Casey Heinrich of Washoughal, WA; Tim Codling of Franklin, TN; and Morgan, Madison and Max Heinrich of Slate Hill, NY and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan and Gabe Heinrich of Washoughal, WA; Christopher, William and Ryan Kerin of Wyckoff; Casey McKay of Hackensack;and Addyson Codling of Franklin, TN. She is also survived by her brother, Neal DePree of Estero, Florida her step-sisters, Connie Vroegindewey of Wayne, and Myrtle Trussell of Navarre, Florida and her step-brother, Hassel DePree of Bloomington, Indiana.A funeral service is planned for Monday, January 12, 2009, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus.
