Obituary of Arthur D. Schwarz

Schwarz, Arthur D., age 93, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Baptist South Hospital in Jacksonville FL. He was born in Newark, NJ, on Sept. 21, 1915, and married his first wife, Wanda Jankowskii, in 1938. They had three children: Barbara Voglino of Wayne, NJ; Carolyn Devonshire of Tallahassee, FL; and Arthur J. Schwarz of Middletown, NJ. After Wanda passed away in 1984, Mr. Schwarz met Flora Napier of At. Augustine. They were married in 1985. Mr. Schwarz has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A retired Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Schwarz was a member of the American Institute of CPAs, NJ Society of CPAs, National Association of Accountants (past president of the North Jersey Shore Chapter) and Association of Government Accountants. He was employed as a Principal with Haskins & Sells, CPAs for 22 years. Subsequently, he worked as an accountant and auditor in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida for various employers, including the Federal Government and the State of Florida. He served as a part-time accounting instructor at two universities. Mr. Schwarz had a great interest in travel, dancing and music, and he was a member of the Royalaires Band of Ormond Beach. Visiting on Saturday and Sunday, January 10-11, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ. Interment at Gate of Heaven in East Hanover, NJ.
