Obituary of Edward Joseph Mikalonis

Edward Joseph Mikalonis, age 90, died Friday, January 2, 2009 at Embracing Hospice, Snellville,GA. Mr. Mikalonis was born June 10, 1918 in Mahanoy,PA the son of the late Felix and the late Melvina (Kinder) Mikalonis. He lived in Lilburn, GA and was formerly of Wayne. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was retired from the Wayne Board Of Education in 1985 where he was a Custodian, previously he was a mechanic at Curtiss Wright, Fairfield. Mr. Mikalonis was a founding member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church. He is survived by three sons: Edward, Jr. And His Wife Joyce, Paul And His Wife Ruth, John And His Wife Kathy, two sisters: Tafille Beith and Nell Delaney and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his Wife, Rose Schmidt in 1997. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne by Fr. Daniel W. Murphy. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
