Obituary of Deirdre Anne O'Flaherty

Deirdre Anne O'Flaherty, age 44, died unexpectedly on Christmas Day at home in Wayne. Ms. O'Flaherty was born May 29, 1964 in Paterson, the daughter of the late John G. and Nancy (O'Brien) O'Flaherty. She was a 1982 graduate of De Paul HS, a 1986 graduate of Syracuse University and was employed by NBC, Fort Lee as an archivist. Deirdre will always be remembered by her family as a gentle, loving, and kind soul. Along with her loving mother, she is survived by her dear sisters Niamh O'Flaherty and her husband Samuel Getz, Nessa and her husband Tim Mulligan; her brother James O'Flaherty, her nieces Nessa O'Flaherty, Sloan Getz and Jordan Getz and her nephew, Finn Getz. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Msgr. James O'Rourke & Fr. Daniel W. Murphy. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
