Obituary of Edwin S Muraczewski

Edwin S. Muraczewski, age 88, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the VA Hospital of East Orange, East Orange. Mr. Muraczewski was born January 1, 1920 in Paterson, the son of the late Joseph and the late Martha (Pietracka) Muraczewski. He lived in Wayne. Mr. Muraczewski served as a Sergeant in the 88th Division in the US Army during World War II. He received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He retired from Meile Trucking, Paterson where he was a truck driver. Mr. Muraczewski was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church in Wayne. Mr. Muraczewski is survived by his sisters, Alma Muraczewski and Lucille Atwan; his brother Alfred; his nephew, Richard Atwan and his great-nephew, Matthew Atwan. Visiting hours will be Wednesday November 19, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
