Obituary of Sydney C. Albrecht

Sydney Albrecht, age 86, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson. Mr. Albrecht was born March 15, 1922 in Paterson, the son of the late Robert J and the late Bertha (Clark) Albrecht. He lived in Pompton Plains. Mr. Albrecht graduated with in chemical engineering from Pratt University and received a master' s degree in statistics from Rutgers University. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Albrecht retired from American Hard Rubber in Butler where he was a product engineer. He was a member of the Filii Club for 64 years and a volunteer for 20 years for AARP Senior Income Tax Preparers. He is survived by his beloved wife Erika (Blumer); his loving daughters, Carol and her husband Dennis Chandler and Susan Albrecht and son, Glenn and his wife Brigitte and his cherished grandchildren, Marion and Gregoire. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the service. Cremation will be at Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa.
